Amazon announced on Friday (14th) that it had reached a one-time deal with Botafogo, valid for one month, to promote Prime Video on the club’s uniform.
The streaming platform will occupy the upper back space of Alvinegro’s main men’s team uniform. The Brazilian will make his first jersey debut against Sao Paulo this Saturday (15th).
During this period, Botafogo will broadcast exclusively on the Amazon service the return duel of the Brazilian Cup against Ypiranga-RS on April 27 at 7:30 pm at Estádio Nilton Santos.
It’s worth remembering that Amazon renewed its Copa Brasil sublicense agreement with Globo until 2026.
Prime members in Brazil will get free access to 54 games in the 2023 Copa del Brazil (18 more than last season). Of these matches, 40 will be shown exclusively on Prime Video and 14 will be shared with Globo or Sportv, covering all stages of the Brazilian Cup qualifiers.
The Brazil Cup broadcast is part of Prime Video’s growing investment in live sports around the world, including the NBA in Brazil, Ligue 1 and Roland-Garros in France, the Premier League in the UK, the US Open, the ATP Tennis and WTA Tours and the autumn season in the UK and National rugby series in Ireland; Champions League in Germany and Italy, Thursday Night Football in the US, New Zealand cricket in India, and other sporting events.
