This Friday morning (July 4th) was a moment of celebration in Laranjeiras, as fans in the historic stadium were able to witness two fine victories for the Fluminense base. The Under-15 and Under-17 Moleques de Xerém have beaten Bangu in the Rio Cup in their respective categories and are firmly looking to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

In their opening match, the Sub-15 beat their opponents 8-0 thanks to goals from Narra (3), Pablo Enrique, Lusanne, Rennes, Sonny Anderson and an own goal. The win kept manager Felipe Canavan’s side at the top of the game and was 100 per cent successful.
“We had a great game, a great victory in front of the fans who came to support us in Larangeras. We will keep our feet on the ground and continue to work hard to achieve our goals for the season”, celebrated Felipe Canavan .
The under-17s also won. Despite a subdued first half than usual, coach Romulo Rodriguez’s side bounced back in the second period with goals from Matheus Pedro and Riquelme Felipe. The ball turned the game 2-1. The team completed three unbeaten games and entered the qualifying zone for the next stage.
