Recall that the events of Hollowbody will take place in the near future in a long-abandoned British town, where Mika becomes a courier on the black market after his hoverbike crashes.
The posted video lasts about five minutes and shows what players will be doing most of the time in Hollowbody: wandering around dark places, looking around and fighting monsters.
Old-school horror fans (mostly inspired by Hollowbody Silent Hill 2 and 3) loved the game – nearly 400 likes and less than 10 downvotes. “Looks very promising,” one viewer wrote.
Hamley, who developed Hollowbody himself, promises a combination of stable and dynamic camera, limited resources, logic puzzles, multiple endings and New Game+.
In the fall of 2022, Hollowbody went through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign and exceeded its initial fundraising goal by 86%. Among other things, the developers provided the game with a new location and a first-person mode.
Hollowbody is expected to launch on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) in Q1 2024. The game will be fully voiced, but English is the only language supported at this stage.
