Lúcia Cavaleiro assumes responsibility for the External and Digital Communication areas of Tabaqueira (integrated into the Institutional Affairs department), the Portuguese subsidiary of the Philip Morris International group.
With more than 20 years of career in Communication, linked to strategic development, the professional has extensive experience in the field of media consulting, institutional relations, digital communication, stakeholder management and crisis management, in national and global companies, in addition to assuming that he has advisory functions in different governments. Within the scope of his duties, he worked in the fields of aviation, security, sustainability, mobility and technology, among others.
He began his professional career in television journalism, with assessments at SIC, RTP and SIC Notícias and, on radio, with experiences at Antena 1 and TSF. This was followed by 15 years of association with Transportadora Aérea Portuguesa, where she joined in 2007 as press officer and spokesperson of the company to join the communications team and carry out external, internal and crisis communication activities.
Later he assumed the position of Head of Production and Content Management and became responsible for 360º content plans for various platforms, including internal and external campaigns, as well as the implementation of communication systems with different audiences. His last challenge at TAP was the transversal coordination of communication in the areas of Safety, Security and Environment, in close interaction with national and international organizations in the sector.
More recently, in 2022, he took over Uber’s communications for the Portuguese market, with responsibilities in the areas of media relations, digital communications and institutional relations. In between, he held advisory roles at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education (2004) and at the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of Lisbon and Tagus Valley, a body under the Ministry of the Environment (2006).
